Dr. Constantinos Trifonos MD, FEBU

Dr. Konstantinos Tryphonos was born in Larnaca, Cyprus. With a scholarship (due to high performance) of the IKY of Greece and the IKY of Cyprus, he studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he graduated in 2010.

 

He continued as a trainee doctor (pre-registration) at the General Hospital of Larnaca from March 2011 until October of the same year, when he started the specialty of Urology, following entrance exams of the Ministry of Health of Cyprus. Completed his training in General Surgery at the General Hospital Larnaca and continued his training in Urology at the Urology department of the General Hospital of Nicosia.

 

As part of his training, he completed a six-month training in the field of Pediatric Surgery and a six-month training in Gynecology, at Makarios Hospital in Nicosia. He carried out part of the Urology specialty at the First University Urology Clinic at Laiko General Hospital in Athens, where he had the opportunity to come into contact with robotic surgical urology and minimally invasive techniques.

 

As part of his specialty, he had the opportunity to participate, upon selection, in the "14th European Urology Residents Education Programme" (EUREP16) in Prague, Czech Republic.

 

He obtained the title of the Urology specialty after successful examinations, at the University Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in December 2016.

 

He then returned to Cyprus and practices surgical urology/Andrology at Synesio Medical Center in Larnaca and the "Evangelistria" Medical Center in Nicosia. ​

 

He is a member of the European Urological Society, the Hellenic Urological Society, the Cypriot Urological Society as well as the Cyprus Medical Council. ​

 

He is particularly interested in the endoscopic treatment of urinary diseases, in minimally invasive surgery as well as in Andrology.
